Year 9 & 10

This week is when we show off what we have learned about important ideas, characters and techniques in the film Boy.  We also show off what we have learned about essay writing.  Please go to your English folder in Google Drive and open the document called "Boy Essay writing assessment July 2021."  It is a bit confusing that there are several different folders.  Below are the correct folders for each year group.

You will be working carefully through this task on your own.  You can ask for help to make sure you understand what you need to do.  By the end of the task, you will have written six paragraphs and will have made an important step to NCEA success.  Even if you find it difficult, by working carefully on this task, you will have moved closer to being ready for NCEA, and when I mark it, I will be able to see what I can help you with in Term Three until you are the best, most badass writers in Māwhera!

Year 11

I hear you were working beautifully when I was absent last week - ka mau te wehi! You also have time to work on your essay writing assessment today.  I will check in with each of you today and make sure you are on track and know what to do.
